Code
of Conduct for Managers/Coaches & Officials![]()
Managers/Coaches play a vital part in helping establish the ethics in the game and in life in general. Therefore our personnel are expected to pay particular attention to the moral aspect of their conduct whilst supervising the children in their care. The standards here at Rubery Juniors reflect the FA Code of Conduct and National Coaching Foundation in all aspects of any childs' Welfare. Our main criteria to help with a child’s development within the club, must be upheld by each and every manager/coach or official and are as follows:
Place the well being and safety of each child above all other issues.
Must adhere to all guidelines that are in place at the club or affiliated societies and governing bodies.
Respect the dignity and worth of each and every child, and be seen to treat all children equally.
Encourage children to accept responsibility for their actions, performance and behaviour.
Develop a good relationship with every child based on trust and mutual respect.
Ensure that training and competition are related to age, ability and experience of players.
Show respect towards opponents and their supporters.
Accept the decisions of match officials as final and avoid confrontation.
Must ensure the children are well versed in the clubs fair play attitude towards the game and opponents alike, and never promote gamesmanship.
Must always display high standards of behaviour and appearance.
Must never tolerate from any player or use inappropriate language at any time.
Give priority to the team above any individual.
Check playing surface prior to training or matches for any foreign objects.
Must never leave a player on his/her own at any time and must wait until a parent arrives at the end of any session or match.
Must ensure that the clubs anti-bullying policy is enforced at all times.
Must report any concerns about a player to the Senior Child Protection Officer.
