PARENTS & SUPPORTERS CODE OF CONDUCT

We at Rubery Juniors are totally committed to each and every child that represents our club irrespective of how successful a team may or may not be. Our club motto of “Football for kids, whatever the result” sums up the club position on children who are the most integral part of this organisation. We acknowledge that the game of football is our national sport, and try our best to develop the playing skills for our children through the qualified coaches we have here. That said, it is far more important to us that a player enjoys the game as it was originally designed to do, and that the boy or girl develops into a person who can hold their head high in whichever community they live. Being part of a club like ours helps develop many skills that are vital to growing up. Social, communication, team building, honesty are just a few of the skills that we try to impress on our members, that will surely see them in good stead for their future. To do all this we rely on many people involved with the club from the volunteer in the Clubhouse to the Chairman of the club. But to do this efficiently there are guidelines that every member, coach, parent or supporter must accept as their responsibility, not just to the club and their team-mates, but to society as a whole. Therefore it is vital that everyone reads the this Codes of Conduct listed below to help us make this Club an even bigger success than it is today, and maintains the highest possible standards within youth soccer and the local community.

You play a vital part in the teams success or failure in football and within our club. Parental support is the most important part of any child’s life and football is no different. The game of football should be fun at youth level, and children must allowed to take part safe in the knowledge that the result will not have an effect on the parent or supporter. Your expectations have a significant bearing on a child’s attitude, and with positive encouragement our children will become stronger in both the game and in life. Here at Rubery Juniors we have high standards from not just our players, but also for both Parents and Supporters alike, so please read on for the way our club expects you to represent your children and us:
Always applaud the opposition, alongside your team.
Leave all coaching matters to the Team Manager during a game.
Never shout or abuse your own child, or any other player on or around the pitch.
