PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT

You are the most important people at the club and in the game of football, and we are all aware of how good it feels to come of the pitch with a win. The only way of gaining even more satisfaction is to come off knowing you won fairly and with no animosity towards an opponent. Only then can you call yourself a true winner, and shake your opponents hand at the end of game and mean it. You personally have a responsibility to the game, the club, your opponent, your manager, your supporters, and most importantly to yourself. Here at Rubery Juniors, fair play is vital to our relationships with other clubs and you are expected to uphold these traditions. To help you maintain our standards, you must:

Try to achieve your best performance throughout every game.

Set an example for team-mates, match officials and supporters alike.

Avoid all forms of gamesmanship or time wasting.

Never use inappropriate language before, during of after the game.

With fair play, help the team win within the laws of the game.

Know the laws of the game and enter into competition in the right spirit.

Accept failure with the same dignity as success.

Treat opponents with total respect at all times.

Always represent your club to the best of your ability, on and off the field.

Safeguard your opponents’ well being and always help an injured player.

Respect the decision of match officials and never argue over a particular incident.

Always abide by the instructions of your coach/manager and treat them with respect.

Respect the supporters who have given up their time for you.
