PETER FLEET

BOOK OF CONDOLENCE

Rubery Juniors FC are extremely sad to announce the tragic loss of Peter Fleet in the early hours of Saturday 12th March 2005.

Not only everyone at our club will feel this sad loss, but the world of youth football in the Midlands will be hit by the news of Peters passing.

Peter had dedicated most of his spare time and life to give children a chance of playing our national game. His tireless work to achieve the highest standards in youth football will never be forgotten and his parting puts our game and sport into prospective.

We will miss him dearly and his boys from the Under 15 Colts mourn the loss of this great man.

RIP

Smiths Wood Football Club would like to send their condolences to Peter's family.

It is through the efforts of people like Peter, that give the up and coming generation of kids a chance to be a part of a team.

Peter was at the heart of that team.

In our thoughts, Gary Rawlings, on behalf of all at Smiths Wood F. C.

Please pass on our condolences to Peter's family. He was someone who always put the boys’ welfare and enjoyment of football first and he will be greatly missed as a voice of reality within CWYFL.

 RIP

Alan Jones, Garry Fisher and all at Castle Colts FC.

I have suggested to Derek Brennan that the under 14's age group have a rep team for each division in our league
and have a big day out with a Tournament included.
Maybe we could dedicate this day every year to Peter Fleets memory and all monies raised either go back into
Kid’s football or a charity of Peter’s families choosing.
Knowing Pete I think he would have loved a big day out like this.

Having met and spoke to Peter on many occasions over the years at the football meeting and yes what top bloke down to earth and said it like it was....Yes cards donations etc we would all expect, but what about naming one of the U15's cups after him, just a thought that way all the work he put into kids football will never be forgotten..

I first met Peter at the Managers monthly meetings picking up the fixtures for our older age group.
Having not met him previously we were straight into banter about me being a "bluenose"; that
was how easy he found it to get on with people.
It is testimony to his personality that so many people have made comments and want to do something for him.

Unfortunately I never got to met Peter however it seems that he was very well respected and all that he has done for the kids should not go unrecognized. I would agree that naming one of the cup competitions after him would be a very good idea and a fitting recognition of his contributions to him and his family.                                                                                                                                                                  Gary Clarke, Lyndon Colts U’14’s

When I ran the under 14's a couple of years ago he was my secretary and I agree with all comments he was a top man.  It's a sad loss to kid’s football. My condolences to his family.  R.I.P.                                                                                                                                               Billy Watkins, Phoenix Rangers F.C.

What a sad loss for youth football!! Peter Fleets’ dedication to the children of Birmingham in our sport was
second to none. Never one to mince his words, he wanted and expected our game to be played the way it was meant
to be. The work he put in to the league and our clubs should be recognised and never forgotten.
He was simply a proper man who would give all to the fight to clean up football at grassroots level.
He played a major part in the rise of Rubery Juniors FC and finished with us by looking after our Under 15 Colts
for the past two months. Everyone at our club will miss him while he now runs a league at the very highest
level there is.
Our deepest sympathy and thoughts go out to Peter’s family and friends. RIP
MALC WILSON, RUBERY JUNIORS U14 MANAGER AND CLUB CHIEF EXECUTIVE.

Your support was of a great strength to us a few years ago when we sadly lost one of our younger players.
